This standardized pictorial and textual signs taken from graffiti and comics, from pattern charts and 3-D simulations, from advertising slogans and Internet messages, are clearly defined as source material and fed into the process of artistic creation. The resulting, graphically configured network is condesed to form one of those surfaces which to an ever-increasing extent determine our perceptions. Creation by means of graphics is shown to be process-related method and is a synonym for the quantity as well as the quality of the various systems into which a world that could formerly be experienced as a whole has long been fragmented. Search engines that appear to be objective provide order and overall view, but without thereby being able truly to satisfy the individuality of the ego that consults them.
